We support quality improvement in practice. The PRIIME Network supports quality improvement by assessing the potential utility of CPCSSN’s quality improvement tool for NL’s primary care providers and by assisting the annual, province-wide QI project carried out by residents in Memorial’s Family Medicine Residency Program.

CPCSSN – Canadian Primary Care Sentinel Surveillance Network
DFM – Discipline of Family Medicine
DPT – Data presentation tool
NL – Newfoundland and Labrador
PRIIME – Primary Care Research Implementation Improvement and Evaluation Network
QI – Quality Improvement
Supporting local quality improvement initiatives in family practices
Our role is to assess the potential use of CPCSSN’s customizable DPT in Family Practice Clinics.
For more information about CPCSSN’s DPT please see these QI tools.
DFM learning cycles
Our role is to pilot test if and how we may be able to support the DFM residency program with their new annual quality improvement project. At a glance we anticipate this to include services such as protocol development and producing evidence summaries of the available literature regarding root causes of the QI problem and possible solutions. The topic we are pilot testing with the DFM program is “no shows.”
